A few years ago, my sister started a family tradition with her daughters; every Christmas morning they would wake up to find their Santa Stockings had been stuffed full of new socks & underwear. The girls loved these goodies and looked forward to their “panty haul” every year.
One year, “Santa” forgot to fill up their stockings and when the girls woke up in the wee hours, there was much complaining when they found there were no socks or panties to be had! My sister was forced to take the girls shopping the day after Christmas that year so they could get their “panty haul” fix! Behold the power (and allure) of new lingerie! “Santa” sure learned a lesson that year!
This tradition still holds strong for me, and even when I didn’t have a bunny-love in my life, I would always buy myself lingerie for Christmas. Some of my all-time favorite lingerie were gifts to myself! Two years ago I found a gorgeous 1970s pink satin nightgown for $10, and I wear it constantly. Did I mention that when I’m home, I can almost always be found floating around like a hollywood starlet, in nighties and dressing gowns?
